Computer Animation 1 – Crown of Secrets (Cubism)

Crown of Secrets

Photoshop, 2015

This is a representation of the United State Government’s surveillance practices through the style of Pablo Picasso’s ‘Cubism.’ By collecting sensitive information on it’s citizens, power is attained, hence the ‘Crown of Secrets’. Although I do not believe the Government is actively abusing this power nefariously, I am not a fan of how easy it would be to do so. Cubism is often used to depict objects from multiple angles, which works well with the concept of a ‘surveillance state’ that sees everything. Inside the crown are references to multiple agencies such as the NSA and ‘the five eyes’.
