3D Design and Color – Skeleton

For this project I modeled a human skeleton in Autodesk Maya, making sure that the design would work as a 3D print. This involved building supports for weaker bones, as well as designing hooks to piece all of the bones together. This was my first time really giving 3D printing a try, and it was actually quite an enjoyable experience. The final product is extremely fragile, so some more time should have been invested in these supports.

I am really proud of how anatomically correct I was able to make it in the end, and it was really fun designing the small details. In the future I will definitely be making more 3D prints that are stronger, cleaner, and of a higher quality.
